Some of the most respected voices in the sector came together on Monday 30th April to inspire the delegates to be part of the plan to end homelessness. See conference agenda.
The conference brought together a range of stakeholders working in the housing and homelessness sectors including politicians, national representative bodies and charities. The speakers included Lord Bob Kerslake; Shadow Secretary of State for Housing John Healey MP; Housing, Communities and Local Government Committee member, Bob Blackman MP, Crisis Chief Executive, Jon Sparkes and Shelter Chief Executive, Polly Neate.
Chris Hancock, Head of Housing for Crisis previewed the details of the charity’s Plan to End Homelessness, the findings of a six-month research and consultation exercise seeking to identify practical solutions to the growth of homelessness. The conference also explored the components of a creating pledge for housing associations to sign up to following the conference.
