The Homes for Cathy commitments should be seen as an aspirational standard for Homes for Cathy members to work towards (with the agreement of their Boards) and as a tool to develop their policies and practices.

We worked in partnership with Crisis to form the original commitments in 2018, as part of their Plan to end homelessness in Great Britain.

Following member feedback, the commitments have been updated in 2024 to better reflect how our members are using them, make clearer some of the core aims and set some new objectives to underpin what housing associations need to do to play their part in ending homelessness.
