North West Homelessness Workshop – 5 March 2020

Homes for Cathy is delighted to partner with Riverside to deliver a North West regional homelessness workshop at Riverside’s Liverpool officers.

Time: 10.30am – 2.00pm

Date: Thursday 5 March 2020

Location: Riverside, 2 Estuary Boulevard, Estuary Commerce Park, Speke, L24 8RF

Details:

Local housing and homelessness practitioners from across the North West are invited to attend this free workshop to explore and agree strategies to prevent and reduce homelessness in the region.

Attendees will hear from David Bogle, Hightown Housing CEO and founding member of the Homes for Cathy alliance; David Carter, CEO of The Whitechapel Centre, the leading housing and homelessness charity in Liverpool; and Jacque Allen, Executive Director of Housing at Wythenshawe Community Housing Group, who has worked closely with Greater Manchester Homes Partnership, supporting entrenched rough sleepers in the region to start a new life off the streets. (Jacque also sits on the NHF’s newly formed Homelessness National Group.)

The realities of homelessness in the North West will also be explored through an interview with a guest speaker with lived experience, followed by an overview of the work being done by Riverside as part of its commitment towards tackling homelessness. The workshop will conclude with a roundtable discussion around the nine Homes for Cathy commitments.

This event is now full – if you would like to join the waiting list, please contact Vicki McDonald, Homes for Cathy Communications & Marketing Officer, at Homesfor.Cathy@hightownha.org.uk or call 01442 292543.
