Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Catherine Bennion, Deputy Director – Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Delivery at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, explaining the Department’s multidisciplinary approach to homelessness and how this is helping to drive change at local level; Simon Clarke, Group Director of Housing at Sanctuary will discuss why his housing association has made the decision to scrap affordability tests for applicants; Guddy Burnet, of the Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance, will complete the guest speaker line-up, outlining the alliance’s latest work to prevent homelessness in this vulnerable group.
