Homes for Cathy is partnering with the National Housing Federation (NHF) to invite members and stakeholders to this online workshop on how housing associations can end homelessness for people with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF).
People who don’t have any recourse to public funds are not eligible for local authority homelessness assistance or means-tested welfare benefits (including Housing Benefit, or disability or child benefit) and are more vulnerable to becoming homeless. In 2021, The Kerslake Commission recommended that housing associations respond to the housing and support needs of people with NRPF in order to prevent rough sleeping and homelessness.
This workshop will explore the ways that housing associations can support people with NRPF into homes and sustain their tenancies and will feature speakers from South Yorkshire Housing Association, HomelessLink and The No Accommodation Network (NACCOM), with a chance to ask questions too.
